 Type: Equity Partner Role (co-builder, not a conventional executive hire)

About Starlly Starlly builds the software layer for physical ops - Spectra (operational intelligence for distributed physical assets) and Servy (workflow execution and follow-through). We work with companies running complex, multi-site operations, and we've grown this far quietly, through direct relationships rather than marketing or noise. We prefer winning silently and letting the work speak.

About the role For four years, every customer Starlly has won came from founder-led effort, with no formal team or system behind it. That phase has proven the product works - now it needs someone to build the team and structure that lets it scale. This is a partner-level role for someone who wants to build alongside us and hold real ownership in what gets built, not execute someone else's plan.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the team from the ground up - hiring, structure, and direction
  • Own customer relationships end-to-end, from first conversation through deployment and renewal
  • Develop the partnerships and channels that bring in customers without constant founder involvement
  • Establish the systems and operating rhythm Starlly needs to run independently of day-to-day founder oversight
  • Shape commercial decisions - pricing, structure, priorities - as a genuine stakeholder, not just an executor

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background - either hands-on, or experience leading technical teams
  • A track record of solving real customer problems, not just shipping features
  • Experience building or leading a team from an early stage, ideally in a founder-led environment
  • Comfortable operating without a fixed playbook; able to build process as needed
  • A low-ego, high-ownership way of working - respect for builders and hustlers who do the work quietly

What success looks like (first 3–6 months)

  • A functioning team in place, even if small
  • One or more customer or partner relationships running with minimal founder involvement
  • A basic, repeatable rhythm for solving problems and closing deals

Compensation Structured around equity tied directly to outcomes, with a modest fixed component during the early build phase. Final structure shaped in conversation, based on what you bring.
