* Should be good in writing Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions & Views
* Strong in creating Data model
* Should be well versed in MYSQL Backup & Restore process
* Good in Replication Process
* Strong in writing complex queries
* Must be strong in Database optimization and fine tuning techniques
* Monitoring health of all the database servers on a daily basis
* Need to take care of Database Maintenance activities
* Strong in MySQL Installation & Configuration settings
* Hands on experience in ETL process.
* Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
* Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}


Responsibilities
* Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
* Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
* Prepare documentations and specifications
* Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
* Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
* Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and implementations
* Oversee the operations of the production and staging environments databases
* Design, implement, and monitor disaster recovery plans as it pertains to the production database environment
* Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues
* Give design recommendations for database functions that meet business operating standards while improving the efficiency of business processes
* Train and mentor junior personnel on best practices
