React Native Developer

Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer whose key goal would be to technically guide talented React Native Mobile Engineers and be a part of the team that drives software quality and reduces risk in our releases. The Mobile - Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and implementing a high performing mobile application. Hiver is built on cross-platform stack React Native. We are super serious about application performance, complex and engaging UI, offline availability of all data and integrated experience across multiple applications.

Responsibilities

Define and Implement architecture of complex React Native application
Strive for high quality and rapid output through the use of agile software development best practices
Providing strong technical feedback to your team through code reviews and technical design reviews
Thoughtfully anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and come up with plans to handle them
Contribute to the technical and product strategy by working closely with the product manager and UX engineers
Keep on top of the task and defect management system for assigned issues for each iteration as well as estimate and assess work priority
Plan by understanding the details (effort, risk, priority) of remaining work committed for a release - Plan and execute an incremental and iterative software development process
Perform peer code reviews as part of everyday workflow
Contribute ideas to continually improve the team’s productivity, job enjoyment, and code quality

Requirements

3 - 5 years of hands-on experience developing a mobile app with at least 2 years using React Native
Must have published more than two apps to play store/ app store which have a server side interaction
Strong understanding of mobile design principles, patterns, and best practices
Strong analytical skills and the ability to review code
Proven experience in both small and medium-size teams
Proven ability to architect mobile application and adapt and improve the existing architecture
Experience with Git, Scrum, Kanban
Experience with HTML/JS / TypeScript, embedding web components in the native application to create seamless hybrid applications would be a plus
