Rustacean (Part-time) for a Decentralized Messaging Platform

We are looking for a Rust developer to help build Gitsta, a Decentralized Messaging Platform. Think Instagram or WhatsApp, but without a central server. Data storage and compute happens locally on the user's device.

Requirements:

• Strong skills in Rust
• Should know design patterns and best practices in Rust
• Familiar with Functional Programming
• C/C++ and Mobile Development is a strong plus
• Work we can review on GitHub or GitLab is a plus
• Self-motivated, problem-solver etc
• A good aesthetic sense

Here's the deal. You'll be hired as a part-time contractor initially (with a monthly compensation) to help build parts of our MVP rapidly (in 2-4 months). If we get traction, you can join the company as our first full-time employee with a 2-10% equity (depending on what you bring to the table).

Work will mostly be remote, with a weekly catch-up. We prefer hiring candidates under 25 years of age but we can bend that a bit.

We're hoping to find fun people to work with - who can join us on a potentially long, bumpy ride. Well, who knows.
