IT for Change is a Bengaluru-based non-profit organization working in the area of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for social change. We are looking for interns for our education projects.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Supporting training programs for teachers in schools as well as government and non-government officials in using and deploying different open source software applications, including educational applications.
2. Visiting schools regularly to support the teams in running programs smoothly and supporting teachers on running computer classes.
3. Installing, configuring, using and troubleshooting different open source software applications.
4. Providing technical support to schools and other institutions in using different free software applications.
5. Configuring and maintaining the internet network, LAN, WAN in office, and in other workshop places.
6. Supporting and testing the custom operating system of GNU/Linux as per users requirements.

This paid internship requires selected candidates to travel to local govt or aided schools in and around Bengaluru. Speaking and understanding Kannada will be a plus. At the end of internship, based on performance of the candidate and needs of IT for Change, an offer of employment could be made.

Skill Set: Ubuntu GNU/Linux, LibreOffice and experience of using any Free and Open Source Software.
