DevOps at Venture Backed Startup

We are looking for a DevOps engineer with 3+ years of work experience. We're a venture-backed product company.

About Pienza & Inflection

Pienza is a startup studio founded by Aaron Bird, an experienced technology executive and former VP of Product at Adobe. We are building a B2B marketing technology startup called Inflection which is led by Dave Rigotti. You will be a very early employee. Responsibilities & Duties:

• Build and maintain our highly diverse infrastructure with highest standards of fault tolerance, scalability and security
• Manage the Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Primary responsibility for SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 implementation
• SRE workload building core capabilities in our SaaS application
• Automate the build, deploy and scaling processes for the infrastructure
• Work with the entire engineering org to solve tough problems

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills:

• You have 3+ years work experience as part of a core engineering team at a product company
• Experience deploying and maintaining highly distributed systems
• Hands on experience implementing SOC 2 Type 2 at a small company
• Proficient in at least one of Python, GoLang, Java (or other JVM languages)
• Familiarity with development and deployment lifecycles of containerized
  applications
• Familiarity with large cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Strong experience working with code versioning tools and CI/CD systems
• Understanding and experience in security and data protection
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Supporting Skills:

• Exposure to IaC such as Terraform
• Exposure to centralized identity and access management tools such as Okta, JumpCloud etc
• Exposure to container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, ECS or Docker Swarm
